Ouzoud Waterfalls Day Trip from Marrakech

Without a doubt, the  Ouzoud Waterfalls  are currently one of the most visited and photographed natural sites in Morocco! These waterfalls are located approximately 3 hours by car from  Marrakech  . Specifically, they are situated near the city of Azilal, another of the most beautiful spots in the country. This is why our excursion is so interesting, as it connects you with a less touristy side of Morocco, but ultimately one of the most beautiful in our neighboring country.

The  day trip from Marrakech to the Ouzoud Waterfalls  couldn’t begin any other way than with a 3-hour drive north of Marrakech, crossing the Tadla plains dotted with hundreds of olive groves. At this point, you’ll come face to face with the wind, one of the main players in the  Sahara Desert  and a characteristic weather agent of Morocco.

Once we reach the village, we’ll begin our downhill hike, strolling along and admiring the breathtaking views of  the Ouzoud Waterfalls.  They are truly impressive, perched 110 meters high with a perpetual rainbow as their backdrop. Without a doubt, it’s one of the most beautiful sights one can find in nature. But that’s not all… we have a surprise in store! Along the way, some local Berber monkeys will greet you, hoping you’ll share some nuts you might be carrying.

It’s important to know that local cafes are available along the riverbank for a light lunch and to relax before walking to the village. This is also usually the meeting point with drivers for the return trip to Marrakech, where you can spend the night in your riad or hotel.

In this way, your  day trip  to the Ouzoud waterfalls will end in the late afternoon in  Marrakech  with a return to your hotel or the nearest point to your Riad.
