Itinerary :

Departure day :Marrakech - Agafay (50 minutes)

We will pick you up around 2:30-3:00 PM at your riad or a nearby accessible location, which you will arrange with our transport partner the day before. We will head to Agafay, where along the way we will see different landscapes and mountain views.

Upon arriving in Agafay, we’ll stop at the camp where you’ll have free time to take a dip in the pool (seasonal). It’s a fantastic resort where you can spend a wonderful time in the pool with views of the Atlas Mountains – definitely an unforgettable experience.

Later, we’ll get ready for a 30-minute camel ride, dressed in traditional Berber attire, enjoy tea under Berber tents, and take plenty of photos. You can also enjoy a one-hour ride on a double quad bike (single option available) through the mountains and trails of Agafay.

After the tour, you’ll enjoy a lively atmosphere in the Berber tents, where we’ll have a delicious Moroccan dinner and Berber entertainment. After dinner and tea, we’ll return to Marrakech and drop you off near your riad.

Are there dunes in the Agafay Desert?

The Agafay Desert is a smooth rock desert with dune-like hills; there are no sand dunes in the Agafay Desert.

Is it comfortable to ride a camel?

You might feel uncomfortable riding a camel for the first time, but it’s not that difficult to learn. Don’t worry, you’ll get the hang of it very quickly.

How many people can ride a camel at once?

Normally, an adult and a child can comfortably ride a camel. However, on rare occasions, two adults can ride a camel at the same time, depending on their gross weight. An average adult camel can comfortably carry 150 kg (330 lbs).

How should you dress for camel riding in Marrakech?

During your camel ride in Marrakech, dress comfortably; shorts and skirts are not recommended to avoid contact with the camels’ skin and saddles. In case of high temperatures, it is highly advisable to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and fresh water bottles. Your camel operator will provide you with traditional Tuareg clothing to wear during your camel ride (a blue headscarf and tunic).

El personal fue increíblemente amable y nos atendió muy bien a mí y a mi hijo. Aunque me costó mucho conducir el quad, uno de los miembros del personal amablemente lo condujo por mí. De esta manera, pude disfrutar de la experiencia y no malgasté mi dinero. El viaje en sí fue absolutamente fantástico, con vistas impresionantes que son imprescindibles. La parada durante el viaje proporcionó una auténtica experiencia cultural. Solo tengo cosas positivas que decir sobre esto: fue una aventura increíble e inolvidable.
