Itinerary :

Day 1 :Atlas Mountains Day Trip

Our Atlas Mountains day trip begins in the morning at your riad/hotel or other accessible point. We’ll start our journey south from the city, crossing the Haouz plains to the Agafay Desert. We’ll travel along an off-the-beaten-path route to Lake Lalla Takerkoust, where we’ll stop to admire the views and take photos.

Later we will make a stop where you can enjoy a short optional camel ride and we head towards the Atlas Mountains where before continuing your excursion along the small mountain roads to the Kik plateau, we will stop to enjoy the views of the Berber villages scattered to the left and right.

We continue our excursion through the Atlas Mountains, crossing rocky terrain to the Asni Valley and then to the Imlil Valley. Upon reaching the Berber village of Imlil, we get out of the vehicle and walk towards Aroumd, a small Berber village located in the heart of Toubkal National Park, famous for its splendid views of Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa (4167 m).

With a bit of luck, we’ll see a hidden waterfall.

After a delicious Moroccan lunch served by a host family in the village of ”Aroumd”, we will descend to Imlil and leisurely make our way back to Marrakech via Tahennaout, the main town in the region, where the weekly market takes place every Tuesday.

We will finish in Marrakech from 4:00 PM onwards and accompany you to your hotel/riad or a nearby point.
